Our 75-Year History of Excellence
Boulanger’s Plumbing & Heating got its start back In 1946 when Raymond Boulanger opened up a small storefront on “Shop Row” in Easthampton, MA. About a dozen years later, he was joined by business partner David C. Teece and together they expanded the business from mostly residential work and service calls to include commercial installation and repair. When Boulanger’s was officially incorporated in 1958 the company had 8 employees – mostly Boulanger brothers.
Meanwhile, on Shop Row, a short-order cook at the restaurant next door named Paul J. Duda was turning heads at Mickey’s. Both Raymond and David saw potential in Paul – who is now our owner! – and they quickly hired him to dig plumbing ditches instead of frying eggs.
Raymond retired from Boulanger’s in 1976 leaving David and Paul to take over the business as partners. David Teece retired in 1988 and Paul Duda has complete ownership of the company.
About 75 years later, you can still find Boulanger’s on Main Street in Easthampton. We’ve moved to a larger facility, expanded our staff from 8 to 40 employees, and maintained our commitment to quality. Our ability to provide fast, reliable service got was enhanced in 2006 when we upgraded our sheet metal fabrication shop to an automated facility in West Springfield. Boulanger’s sheet metal shop gives us the flexibility to quickly deliver, top-tier custom quality at the local level.
Today, Boulanger’s is equipped to handle anything from small plumbing or HVAC service calls to installing and maintaining whole-home water filtration systems, and large commercial projects. We are available 24/7 for emergency service and repairs.
